The Thatched Tavern is housed in a period 16th century grade 2 listed building. It has been a pub for around 70 years. Originally know as Briar Cottage it was home to local farm labourers. Acquired early 2013 by landlord Martin Silcocks an ex haulage contractor it is now a rare freehold hostelry in the beautiful rural West Sussex village of East Wittering.
Adjacent to the pub in the field we have 4 cosy 2 berth cabins. more information can be found at www.witteringcountrycabins.co.uk
We always have a resident real ale from a local brewery on tap. During the season guest ales are also available. A selection of ice cold draught lagers are always ready to quench your thirst on a hot day. Selected Ciders also on tap. Popular wines by the glass or bottle.
Due to Covid 19 pandemic we are unable to offer food at this time. we will give updates as we regain confidence in the market following the opening up of hospitality. Crisps-nuts will be available.
